The Town Calendar ™ was founded by publisher Allison Nuovo, a Middleborough resident, in the summer of 2003. A newcomer to the town, she found that there were scattered sources of information about Middleborough and decided to compile information of interest to residents in a calendar form. She included historical facts, school and sports schedules and other town-related information. In order to print and mail this information to all households, Allison looked to the merchants of the community to sponsor ads and special offers in the calendar. Since then, Allison has published annually The Town Calendar™ print versions for East and West Bridgewater, Lakeville and Freetown, Bridgewater and Raynham in addition to the Middleboro edition.
